After results, seats are filled through two processes. The All India Quota, handled by the Medical Counselling Committee, is open to candidates from every state. Karnataka state-quota seats are allotted by KEA and do carry domicile and study conditions set out in the current year notification.
Private, deemed and minority institutions in Karnataka also admit through their own counselling with different eligibility rules, though at substantially higher fees. Read the current KEA information bulletin closely, since clause-based eligibility is a common reason candidates are rejected at document verification.
