Courses After Graduation
Your bachelor's degree decides what you can study next. Start with yours.
After B.E / B.Tech
B.E / B.Tech
An engineering degree keeps three routes open at once: a specialised M.Tech, an MBA into management, or an MCA if you came through a non-computing branch. In Karnataka all three are admitted through PGCET, which is the exam most graduates underestimate.

After B.Sc
B.Sc
A B.Sc leads naturally to an M.Sc in the same subject, but it is not the only door. MCA is open to B.Sc graduates in Karnataka, and an MBA is open to any degree — both admitted through PGCET.

After B.Com / BBA
B.Com / BBA / BBM
Commerce graduates split between two routes that look similar and are not: a master’s degree, or a professional qualification. An M.Com or MBA is taught by a college; CA, CS and CMA are run by their own institutes and are examined, not attended.

After BCA
BCA
BCA leads most directly to MCA, and in Karnataka that admission runs through PGCET. An MBA and an M.Sc in computer science are the two common alternatives.

After BA
BA / BSW
Arts graduates have the widest postgraduate choice of any stream and the least guidance about it. An MA, an MSW into the development sector, an LL.M if you already hold a law degree, or an MBA — which is open to every discipline.

After MBBS, BDS, Nursing or Physiotherapy
MBBS / BDS / B.Sc Nursing / BPT
Clinical postgraduate admission in India runs almost entirely through NEET PG for MBBS graduates and its dental counterpart for BDS. Nursing and physiotherapy have their own, quieter routes through the universities that teach them.

Karnataka PGCET, the state’s own PG entrance test
PGCET is Karnataka’s own postgraduate entrance test, and it admits to MBA, MCA and M.Tech in the state’s colleges. This site carries its published closing ranks.
