Clinical postgraduate admission in India runs almost entirely through NEET PG for MBBS graduates and its dental counterpart for BDS. Nursing and physiotherapy have their own, quieter routes through the universities that teach them.
What to know before choosing
- 1NEET PG is compulsory for MD and MS, and the dental counterpart for MDS. There is no state-level alternative in Karnataka.
- 2M.Sc Nursing and MPT admissions are handled by the universities that run the programmes — RGUHS for most of Karnataka — rather than by a single common entrance test.
- 3⚠️ AYUSH postgraduate courses are NOT covered on this page, and the reason is narrower than it used to say. AIAPGET is the entrance test for MD/MS in Ayurveda, Homoeopathy and Unani, and this site holds no AYUSH postgraduate COURSE — nothing these stream pages could list or rank, so naming the exam here would promise a route they cannot show. It does hold AYUSH postgraduate SEATS: 45 colleges print their MD/MS specialities and seat counts in the health-college directories, transcribed from RGUHS’s affiliation notifications for 2025-26.
