Who is eligible
- 10th standard: at least 70% in Science and in Mathematics, each counted separately.
- 11th standard: at least 65% in Mathematics and in Physics, each separately.
- 12th standard, if results are out: at least 60% in Physics and in Mathematics, each separately.
- A rank in KCET 2026, COMEDK 2026 or JEE Main 2026 is compulsory — the management quota does not bypass the entrance exam.
- Candidates from boards outside India must obtain a UGC equivalence certificate (equivalence.ugc.ac.in).
How to apply
- Email a request naming the B.E. programme to the Hon. Secretary, RSST at rv@rvei.edu.in, copying rvcemqadmissions@rvce.edu.in.
- Attach scanned 10th and 11th marks sheets — or 12th marks cards if those results are out — and a parent mobile number.
- The Management Office reviews the email and advises.
- Pay only AFTER the Management Office confirms, by demand draft or online. Bank details come at that stage, not before.

- What does a management-quota seat cost in Karnataka?
- It depends entirely on the college and the branch, and most colleges do not publish a figure. Where one does — RVCE for 2026-27 — the range across its 13 B.E. branches is ₹18 lakh to ₹75 lakh for the whole programme, with Computer Science the most expensive at ₹36 lakh in the first year alone. Compare that with ₹1,20,320 a year for the same college on a KEA-counselled seat.
- Does the management quota mean I can skip the entrance exam?
- No. RVCE’s own notice requires a rank in KCET 2026, COMEDK 2026 or JEE Main 2026, plus minimum marks in 10th, 11th and 12th standard counted subject by subject. A management seat changes how the seat is allotted and what it costs, not whether you had to qualify.
- Should I go through a consultant?
- RVCE states in bold on its notice that it does not entertain any consultants or brokers and that all admissions are done directly. Where a college publishes a direct application route, that route is the college’s own official process — a consultant adds cost, not access.
