B.Com is the stronger foundation if you are aiming at accounting, audit, taxation or professional qualifications like CA, CS or CMA. The curriculum is built around accounting, financial reporting, law and taxation, and most CA aspirants in Karnataka do B.Com alongside their articleship.
BBA is broader and more management-oriented, covering marketing, human resources and operations alongside finance. It suits you better if you want a general business career or plan to go straight into an MBA.
For banking specifically, both are accepted. Employers care more about your final qualification, internships and whether you clear the relevant recruitment exams.
