The bond, before anything else

Rules that catch people out

There is NO NRI or OCI quota at St John’s Medical College.
The candidate must be an Indian citizen and must have studied in India for at least 7 continuous years, including 10th and 12th standard — evidenced by a study certificate from recognised schools in India.
Every applicant, in all nine categories, submits the social-obligation-service affidavit at KEA document verification.
Candidates must register with Karnataka CET-2026 — both Karnataka and non-Karnataka candidates — because counselling is conducted by KEA as directed by the NMC.
RC-2 to RC-8 claimants attend document verification at the Medical College Council Room, ground floor, St John’s Medical College, Koramangala — not at KEA. RC-1 and RC-9 do not attend there.
Candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31 December of the year of admission.
Minimum 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at 2nd PUC (40% for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes candidates of Karnataka State only), having passed each of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually.
If any certificate or information provided at admission is later found false, the seat is liable to be cancelled and the candidate pays the entire course fee and the bond penalty.
